Call of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 5 has officially arrived, and it has added a bevy of new content to both the game’s standard multiplayer andWarzone. Some of this new content comes in the form ofModern WarfareSeason 5’s Battle Pass, which features 100 tiers of unlockable rewards ranging from songs to weapons. One of the new Battle Pass weapons that some players will be particularly excited to earn is the AN-94 Assault Rifle, and fortunately it is not extremely difficult to obtain.
To unlock the AN-94 Assault Rifle inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers must simply reach Tier 31 on the free side of the Battle Pass. This means that any fan that is willing to do a bit of grinding will be able to get the AN-94 during Season 5, and players that want to expedite the process should be on the lookout for Activision to announce any double XP weekends, which are not extremely uncommon, as the season continues.

That said,Modern Warfareplayersthat would rather circumvent the grind for the AN-94, or at least minimize it, can do so by spending someCoDPoints. More specifically, fans can purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400CoDPoints to both get access to all 100 tiers of the Battle Pass and immediately skip 20 of them. These Tier Skips will considerably reduce the amount of time that it takes for players to reach Tier 31 and unlock the AN-94, and that is certainly something that some fans will be interested in doing.
Additionally, players can purchase individual Tier Skips, for 150CoDPoints each, to get even closer to receiving thisnew weapon inModern Warfarewithout any grinding at all. For fans that are considering taking this approach, it is worth mentioning that it actually costs fewerCoDPoints to purchase the aforementioned Battle Pass Bundle and an additional 11 Tier Skips than it does to buy 31 individual Tier Skips. Furthermore, the first option unlocks the premium side of the Battle Pass while the second does not.
As indicated by Activision, the AN-94 has a “unique hyperburst feature,” which means that the “initial shot of a full-auto volley is followed up by an instantaneous second round before significant recoil is felt.” This feature should give the AN-94 the potential to deal some significant damage, though time will tell if it is enough to boost the gun to the top ofModern Warfare’s weapons tier list. However, even if this assault rifle does not prove to be one of the best weapons in the game, many fans will still be happy to be able to unlock it at absolutely no cost.
