Morbiusis anotherSpider-Manvillain who has got their own spin-off film from Sony. Now, the Living Vampire’s solo film is reportedly in the midst of reshoots involving Michael Keaton as Vulture, the villain who was introduced in Marvel Studios’Spider-Man: Homecoming.
WithSpider-Man: No Way Homearound the corner, fans can’t help but have questions regarding the film. The movie has been the target of leaks, theories, rumors, and much more. One of the biggest questions is how Sony’s Spider-Man Universe will tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is owned by Disney. So far, theMorbiustrailer and thepost-credits scene ofVenom: Let There Be Carnagehave only provided teases about a connection between both worlds.

During a recent interview,Keaton confirmed he was shooting more Vulture materialfor Marvel but never named the project. Since his character was introduced inSpider-Man: Homecoming, many assumed he was filming new scenes forSpider-Man: No Way Home, but now it seems that is not the case. Murphy’s Multiverse reports Keaton is shooting additional material forMorbiusat this time, with just 7 weeks to go until the Sony film hits theaters. “Though we don’t have details on whether Keaton was working on reshoots or additional photography, the work isn’t done quite yet as scenes with the character will be filmed next week,” reads the report. The outlet suggests Keaton’s Vulture may have a substantial role inMorbiusconsidering Sony has been filming scenes with the character for the past two weeks already.
At the end ofaMorbiustrailer, Keaton’s Vulture made a brief appearance. Much later,Venom 2was released and included a post-credits scene where Eddie Brock and the symbiote were transported to an alternate universe, one where Tom Holland’s Peter Parker was being exposed as Spider-Man on national television. Based on these two scenes, there seems to be some sort of plan to connect Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Vampires were mentioned in the MCU several times, including the post-credits scene ofEternals, when Mahershala Ali made his voice-over debut as Blade. So it’s clear that some people in the MCU are aware of their existence, they just haven’t shown up yet. WithMorbiusset to debut in theaters next month, should the Living Vampire and Vulture be connected to the MCU, it would be another major move for the franchise.
