7Cedric Diggory

Cedric Diggory was a natural charmer and was able to unite practically all of the Hogwarts students as their champion forthe Triwizard Tournament. Without even trying, Cedric was liked by all and was well-suited to a role in the public eye; and yet impressively the fame never got to his head.

While Cedric never used his charisma for any gain, had he lived, he could have gone far in life, and no doubt many would have looked up to him. Cedric’s good looks doubtless helped heighten his charisma and caused people to be more naturally drawn to him.

Part of his gravitas with which people looked up to Harry, was admittedly to do with the fact that he was the boy who lived or the chosen one, but Harry’s bravery and humility also earned him followers. Harry led by example, never asking anything of anyone, and yet they fought for his cause all the same.

5Horace Slughorn

Horace Slughorn also used his charisma to gain connections both at Hogwarts and in the wider wizarding world, gaining him influential friends and certain advantages. Fred and George Weasleywere arguably two of the most popular students at Hogwarts during Harry’s time, and it is easy to see why. Through comedy and mischief, their charisma shined through, even when times were dark and gloomy. During Professor Umbridge’s reign of terror, they were the leaders in the resistance against her and even managed to inspire the teachers to follow suit.

Later on in the series, their charisma started earning the Weasley twins money, as their character just as much as their ingenious inventions, helped them draw in more customers.

3Tom Riddle

Despite the monster he turned into, there is no denying that Tom Riddle was one of the most charming and charismatic young wizards to ever attend Hogwarts. Whether he was born with natural charisma or learned to wield it, there is no denying he weaponized it to manipulate others to his will.

Most of his teachers thought the world of him, expecting him to achieve great success beyond Hogwarts, and by his later years, Tom had built up quite the following among the students.
