My Hero Academiaas a story was always revolving around its main character, Izuku Midoriya. Izuku Midoriya begins his story with a relatively naive and clumsy outlook on his powers and being a hero. However, over the course of the seasons, Izuku Midoriya improves his control of One For All and becomes a sharper combatant in his own right. With the recent season having put the pressure on Izuku, from being targeted by Lady Nagant, to being a vigilante on his own and trying to save civilians in a time of crisis, and finally with being the prime enemy of Shigaraki and All For One; Izuku’s responsibilities are bearing down on him, and his anger towards All For One subtly growing in the end of the recent episode. Which begs the question of how long until these emotions reach the boiling point?

An important factor when it comes to Izuku is that he wasn’t entirely pushed down with so much responsibility at first. A simple boy with big dreams that he had to work hard for despite the negativity in his life. That was Izuku Midoriya for most of his life, until All Might had granted him the words he wanted to hear along with the capability andtraining to become a hero. That was all the way back in season 1, and now in season 6 Izuku is under more immense pressure than ever before. With the villains having won, so many people hurt because of him, along with the constant threat of being pursued by All For One Shigaraki, and other villains; Izuku can’t afford to stay too complacent or let himself be protected. Even so, it hurts to see his growing anger at the unfairness of Hero Society, as well as the responsibilities slowly becoming too much to bear. BecauseMy Hero Academiadoesn’t neglect to show this aspect of Izuku’s character, it won’t be too long until the audience witnesses Izuku’s reckless behavior manifest once more.

The Weight Of Responsibility

One thing many fans are finally aware of now is the multiple consciousnesses that exist within the Quirk Factor of One For All, the past wielders communicating with Izuku. This may be convenient for Izuku to understand, as it is revealed in the latest few episodes that Izuku now has access to a few of the Quirks within One For All, including Black Whip, Danger Sense, and Fa Jin. However, with this new knowledge came a new responsibility and a burden to bear when Nana Shimura explainedher relation to Shigaraki, giving Izuku a self-inflicted promise that he wanted to fulfill in the future. Izuku took on a myriad of responsibilities the day he decided to leave U.A. and do vigilante work alongside the hero with his abilities, which may or may not have been the best decision depending on who you asked.

Nevertheless, with this responsibility comes a slight bit of anger at the unfairness of it all, and the cruelties of which he has to witness. Izuku may feel some anger less at the society, but more at the individuals responsible for the suffering and possibly at himself as well. All For One and Shigarakiboth have hurt the people he cares about most, and have made it very clear that by being near them Izuku has put people in danger due to being a target. And even so, the anger is not directed squarely solely on the perpetrators of the downfall of hero society; Izuku’s anger is also directed towards himself, which partially explains most of his decision-making in why he decided to act as a vigilante and leave U.A.

The Potential Consequences

After the battle with Lady Nagant, Izuku has a brief conversation with Chisaki (formerly known as Overhaul) about whether he could direct his feelings of remorse towards Eri. Regardless, the conversation is only brief, but it presents a cold disposition along with an agreement being made between the two. Izuku’s personality has changed much more, and yet he looks almost exhausted as well as needing rest. However, once Endeavor, Hawkeye, and All Might getnew information from Lady Nagant, Izuku doesn’t have any intention on not following it seems. Either way, there are a lot of consequences and potential dangers to Izuku’s new outlook as well as the anger, and responsibilities bearing down on him.

An important thing to note is that Izuku has always been one to prioritize others before himself whenever somebody is in danger. And with the entire world being in danger, as well as his friends and fellow heroes who suffered major injuries; Izuku feels the need greater than before to improve. His usage of Fa Jin in the battle was useful, if also risky and reckless at the time. However, the issue than becomes just how far will Izuku go to keep his friends and those who he respects safe from being casualties ortargeted by All For One? It may be a real possibility that Izuku could end up leaving his friends and refuse the help of all those who have kept him up when he fell down. Despite having learned to be a better hero and fighter, Izuku Midoriya may be in danger of isolating himself altogether from the fight and from his trusted allies if he continues down the road he is in. However,My Hero Academiamost likely will not end the story with Izuku having remained isolated. It is merely a matter of time until Izuku learns his lesson eventually.
