HadesandUndertaleare two incredibly successful indie games, so it may not be a surprise to hear that these titles are getting physical merchandise. Three of the most popular charactersHadesandUndertalehave to offer will soon be available as intricately-sculpted Nendoroid figures courtesy of Good Smile Company. Fans have already been given a look at the in-progress prototypes of the upcoming Zagreus, Sans, and Papyrus Nendoroids.
Although many Nendoroid figures have been made of anime characters, the product line also adapts iconic video game characters into adorable super-deformed designs. The list of characters withNendoroid figures includes Doom Guy andCrash Bandicoot, so Zagreus, Sans, and Papyrus will be in good company.

Good Smile Company’s verified US Twitter account recently shared images of the prototypes of Nendoroid Zagreus and Nendoroid Sans and Papyrus. Zagreus' design appears to feature standard Nendoroid proportions, a large head with his trademark messy hair, a sword slung over his shoulder, and a smug grin taken straight fromHades' marketing images. However, Sans and Papyrus feature far more stylized figures that reflect thecharmingly monstrous designs ofUndertale.
Both sets of images are still pending licensor approval, which means the final designs could change before the Nendoroids enter production. However, it appears these figures are off to a good start, especially Sans and Papyrus. This isn’t the first time Good Smile Company has tackled thecreation of non-human Nendoroids, but these prototypes may be some of the most game-accurate Nendoroids yet. Although the prototypes appear to lack certain iconic details, such as sans' skull-shaped laser guns - called gasterblaster in the game files - and Zagreus' burning feet, it’s possible these additions could be included in later iterations of the designs.
As of writing, it appears thatHadesfans are excited about the Zagreus Nendoroid, whileUndertalefans are more dividedabout the portrayals of Sans and Papyrus. Several users expressed disappointment or amusement with the proportions of Sans and Papyrus, though one of the only concrete criticisms was that Papyrus' head looked a bit big. Despite this, several other users expressed anticipation for the full release, and one user expressed hopes that Papyrus would come with a plate of spaghetti. On the other side, users expressed largely universal anticipation for the Zagreus Nendoroid, with several fans expressing excitement that Zagreus was getting a Nendoroid at all. More users shared memes expressing their affection for the character, with many making it clear how excited they are.
