Although the definition of “niche,“harem animewill forever have a place in seasonal lineups. The theme’s representatives might struggle to dominate the limelight at times, but when done right, they can be surprise hits. As the concept only requires the protagonist to be surrounded by potential partners, harem shows can cover a fairly wide spectrum of genres and tones. Most series fall under the romance and comedy sphere, but action or isekai harem anime are not unheard of either.
Each2024 anime seasonincludes at least a handful of harems. They might not be among the quarter’s biggest names, but they tend to attract a decent amount of attention as well, particularly when they are done competently or lean heavily into fanservice. Let’s take a look at every2024 harem anime.

Updated July 27, 2025 by Mark Sammut:2024 is nearly over, and it has been a pretty good year for harem stories. To celebrate the last 12 months, galleries have been added for every 2024 harem anime.
Except for sequels,Chained Soldierwill go down as one of the most highly-anticipatedharem anime of 2024. The manga’s risqué nature is well-known for pushing the envelope in terms of ecchi content, and there was hope that the adaptation would translate or enhance the source material’s provocative material. Set in a world where Earth lives alongside another dimension filled with monsters, the premise follows aguy who becomes the slave of a group of girlswho fight these beings. After using him as a soldier in battle, the girls reward him.
Unfortunately, the anime somewhat failed to live up to the manga’s reputation. While not terrible, the adaptation struggled to balance the action and ecchi scenes, with both elements feeling rushed in places. The source material not only has great fights but also sells its fanservice moments, two elements that are largely lackluster in the anime.
Winter 2024 was not lacking in isekai anime, but most of them did not lean into harem territory. The exception wasTales of Wedding Rings, a show that bakes its harem component directly into its story. Satou follows his crush, Hime, into a portal that leads to another world, and he learns that she is a princess who is about to marry a prince.
More importantly, this unique engagement grants her husband a magic ring that unlocks powers that will aid in fighting demons. In a twist of fate, Satou receives the ring, setting him on a path to “marry” other princesses to become the world’s savior.Tales of Wedding Ringsis fairly enjoyable, mainly thanks to the likable Satou and Hime. That said, as a harem, it is quite strange since the story sets up a clear couple right from the start.
One of the most ignored anime of Winter 2024,Isekai Onsen Paradiseconsists of 3-minute shorts that follow Kouzou, a guy who has been reincarnated into a fantasy world. He happens to be a hot spring aficionado, so he goes on a journey to discover as many of these natural baths as possible. Shockingly, this adventure winds up leading him to a plethora of women that fit into fantasy archetypes, be they fox girls or elves; consequently, Kouzou quickly grows a harem that can put to shame most of the genre’s other representatives.
Isekai Onsen Paradisedoes not have much to offer beyond the minimum. Generally, each episode focuses on introducing a new girl who must be convinced of the wonders of hot springs, with Kouzou doing his utmost to sell their therapeutic appeal (among other things). The characters are, unsurprisingly, shallow, and the humor is nothing to write home about. Even the ecchi content is quite timid compared to the other Winter2024 harem animeorGushing Over Magical Girls. Still, due to the show’s short length,Isekai Onsen Paradiseis fairly inoffensive.
Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Includedis a lighthearted romcom with a supernatural twist. One morning, Shintarou wakes up to find a strange girl, Towa, sleeping on his balcony. If that was not weird enough, she also has wings and proclaims to be an angel sent to Earth to mingle with humans. Long story short, Shintarou agrees to allow Towa to live with him as she is a bit too naive to be running around without supervision.
Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Includedsets itself to be a romance, with Towa and Shintarou presented as the main pairing; however, the manga quickly introduces new girls, turning the story into more of a harem. The source material leans heavily into wholesome comedy, with romance relegated to subtext (especially during the early volumes).
For the most part, theSpring 2024 animeis serviceable. Naive and innocent to a fault, Towa is cute and likable, even if she is not exactly the most exciting female character ever. The same can largely be said for Shintarou, who is a nice guy without all the negative connotations associated with that term. The rest of the girls are a bit more interesting, although they very much play second fiddle to Towa.Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Includedis one of those harems that clearly depicts one couple as the main pairing, which makes the “competition” feel redundant. That said, most of the other girls at least have something going on that allows them to shine away from Shintarou’s presence. The only slight exception is Tsumugi, a classmate who does not hide her intense feelings for Shintarou.
All things considered, most of Spring 2024’s isekai anime did not lean into harem territory. Sure,That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,KonoSuba, andMushoku Tenseiflirt with the genre, but they are not part of it. If the criteria were extended to include reincarnation anime,The Misfit of Demon King Academy 2could almost qualify, although Anos has a fan club rather than a harem. If the criteria were extended even further to include just basic fantasy shows,The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleaseshas most of the pieces for a harem, but the show has no romantic edge whatsoever. It is also Spring 2024’s worst series.
So,that leavesRe:Monster, a dark fantasy anime about a former cannibal who reincarnates as a goblin and gains new abilities by eating monsters. Before long, Gobrou evolves into an ogre, takes charge of his clan, and starts to destroy human armies like they are just a minor annoyance. Naturally, a leader needs a harem, and Rou quickly finds himself surrounded by both goblin and human women. The former are attracted to the protagonist’s power, comparative intelligence, and authoritative diplomacy; meanwhile, the latter appreciate Rou because he didn’t kill them when they were captured. Yes, they are his captives. Yes, it is weird and uncomfortable. This element will probably make or breakRe:Monsterfor quite a few people, especially since the anime is otherwise a relatively prototypical power fantasy.
Date A Liveis a fun action sci-fi anime with great fights, generally solid animation, and a well-implemented harem component. The protagonist, Shido, must protect the world from special quakes by sealing Spirits, which come in the form of girls. As the process involves making them fall in love with him, Shido must grow his harem to become the savior he needs to be.
In the fifth season,Date a Livefirmly enters its endgame.Shido and his Spirits armyengage in quite a few intense battles, be it against DEM or their complicated relationship with Kurumi. The Spirit of Origin’s arrival has also thrown everything into disarray, and all parties have their own ideas on how to deal with this world-ending danger.
The Spring 2024 season is impenetrable to newcomers, who should unquestionably start from the beginning. While not without its lulls,Date a Liveis generally pretty consistent, so it should be a fun ride. Furthermore, people specifically interested in the harem will get a lot more enjoyment out of the first two seasons as they emphasize that aspect a lot more. Seasons 4 and 5 are more action-focused than the older entries.
Season 2 Release Date:17-07-2025
Similar to the 2023 season,The Café Terrace and Its Goddessesdelivered another solid and dependable batch of harem shenanigans for its sequel. While not pushing the envelope, the series highlights the genre’s broad appeal: likable characters, a strong male lead, and quite a bit of humor. The first season suffered from a terrible opening episode that villainized the girls, and this early stumble threatened to derail the whole series. Fortunately,The Café Terrace and Its Goddessessteadied itself within a couple of weeks by allowing the girls' individuality to shine through, all the while showcasing that Hayato might just be one of the best male protagonists in the harem genre.
Season 2 benefits greatly from already having all the relationship groundwork done, allowing the core friendships to carry most segments while steadily sprinkling in some romance. That said, theSummer 2024 sequeltook a risk by basically doubling the number of girls through the introduction of a rival cafeteria, a plot thread that has not amounted to much at this point. While crowded at times, the new girls are mostly just there to be friends with the main group, rather than new competitors striving for Hayato’s eye.
2.5 Dimensional Seductionis such a trip, and that is meant 100% as a compliment. Initially, the anime comes across as a by-the-numbers ecchi harem that mostly uses cosplay as a reason to throw out fanservice. However, as the season has progressed, the show has slowly demonstrated a genuine passion for that community, diving into the culture and work that goes into bringing fictional characters to life. A tournament is even on the horizon.
As a harem,2.5 Dimensional Seductionis kind of uneven, mainly due to Ririsa being very obviously presented as the main girl. A few other contenders have been introduced, but they come across as supporting characters rather than real alternatives who have a chance of taking Masamune’s hand.
Speaking of the male lead, Masamune is decent. His backstory involves being mostly into 2D girls due to a fear of rejection, but he learns to appreciate cosplay as a middle-ground between fantasy and reality. He also just wants to keep his club alive.
2.5 Dimensional Seductionis set for 24 episodes, so it will be airing throughout Fall 2024 as well.
Admittedly, this recommendation comes with a huge asterisk since, as implied by its title,Pseudo Haremis not a harem. Or, to be exact, it is a one-girl harem. Determined to make her senpai happy, Rin puts her acting chops to good use by adopting different waifu personalities, all of whom are seemingly in love with Eiji. Overflowing with silliness and mostly presented in good faith with both characters enjoying the performance,Pseudo Haremis largely a standard rom-com that uses harem as a vehicle to further the relationship of its main couple. Naturally, Rin is genuinely in love with Eiji, but the latter believes her displays of affection are just part of the act.
If watching girls duke it out in a love battle royale is somebody’s favorite part of a harem story, they will not find much to latch onto in this series; however,Pseudo Haremplays into the genre’s conventions quite well, all the while not going out of its way to mock them. More importantly, it is wholesome and cute, with two endearing leads who are just adorably awkward.
Out of Fall 2024’s harem content,Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sisteris the best overall pick for people seeking a traditional entry. An orphan, Uryuu is allowed to move into a shrine so he can focus on his studies, which proves to be easier said than done as three sister maidens keep on getting in the way. They are also not especially excited about sharing their home with a boy, particularly Yuna, a situation that is made worse when they are informed that one of them will need to marry their guest to keep the shrine alive. Uryuu is not particularly happy about this condition either.
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sisteris kind of basic, a feeling amplified by the fact thatFall 2024 also includes a new adaptation ofRanma ½, arguably the most famous anime about an arranged marriage featuring a male lead and three sisters. That said, comfort can be found in predictability, andAmagamimostly delivers a pleasant and competent regurgitation of genre tropes.
UnlikeRanma ½,Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sisteris shaping up to be a proper harem.
