AlthoughNinja still playsFortnite, he has also cast his creative net with other business ventures like his graphic novel series. The graphic novels are written by Justin Jordan, who has also worked on comics for both DC and Marvel. Though Ninja’s graphic novel series seems to have found an audience, his creative ventures haven’t always been successful. He caused quite a stir in the Twitch community back in 2019 when he stopped streaming on the platform and decided to exclusively stream on Microsoft’s streaming startup, Mixer.Mixer eventually failed, partially because the original founders left after Mixer was up and running but also because of the apparent financial toll Ninja’s 20+million dollar contract had on the platform. Ninja came back to Twitch though and got a multi-year deal to keep streaming, and he’s been a huge contributor to the streaming service ever since.
