Nickelodeon has just announced a newSuper Smash Bros.style game,Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which will feature a deep roster of characters from a whole array of classic and current Nickelodeon shows. For all intents and purposes,Nickelodeon All-Star Brawllooks as though it will play just likeSuper Smash Bros. with each Nickelodeon character boasting their own unique arsenal of attacks and special moves while trying to bump opponents off-stage.

WhileNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s release trailergave fans a quick peek at the game, it also confirmed a handful of characters —  14 in total — that will feature. While the initial roster is fairly star-studded, there are a few contenders that are conspicuously missing. Even though fans should expect that theSpongeBob SquarePantsfranchise will likely have the most characters in the game, the inclusion of Sandy Cheeks, Patrick Star, and SpongeBob points to a willingness to include multiple characters from one franchise. As such, even though we currently only have Helga confirmed from theHey Arnold!series, it’s likely that fans can expect Arnold himself. Regardless, there are a few more characters who stand out as obvious choices forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s roster.

Squidward Tentacles (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Of all the current roster omissions, Squidward might be the most glaringly obvious. Even asPatrick Star is getting a spin-off, Squidward might be the most recognizable character in the entire show next to SpongeBob himself, mostly due to his popularity in meme culture. Also, his character seems to have a fairly easy background to twist into a fighting game kit. He’s constantly seen with either a paintbrush or a clarinet, and both could be fashioned into formidable weapons withinNickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Plus, like the famous fighting game character Goro, he has 6 limbs, which makes Squidward an excellent candidate for some interesting basic attacks and grappling moves.

Timmy Turner (The Fairly OddParents!)

Danny Phantomis already confirmed forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which makes Timmy Turner fromFairly OddParents— a sister show to Danny Phantom — an obvious choice to include in the roster. Not only is Timmy Turner the protagonist of a super popular Nickelodeon show, but he also has limitless potential for a fighting game kit. For those unfamiliar, Timmy Turner has two “fairy godparents,” Cosmo and Wanda, who grant his every wish. In the show, it’s more often than not that the wishes go sideways and result in disastrous consequences. For this reason alone, Timmy Turner is a must-have forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl. He has the potential to have dozens of different forms, summons, and wild abilities, and developers could even imbue abilities with a degree of chance similar to Mr. Game & Watch’s “Judge” ability.

Jenny Wakeman (My Life as a Teenage Robot)

Jenny fits here for all the same reasons as Timmy Turner. She’s the main character of her show, her kit basically writes itself, andMy Life as a Teenage Robot, while not as popular as other Nickelodeon series, has enough of a following that Jenny would be missed fromNickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Perhaps the most compelling reason listed above is that her kit is a no-brainer, as Jenny could play like a clone ofSamus Aran fromMetroidsince her abilities in the TV show center around energy beams that protrude from her palms and chest. Regardless of how developers would choose to design her kit, there is enough inMy Life as a Teenage Robotto make for an enjoyable roster addition.

Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawlreleases this fall for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
