Tears of the Kingdomfollows a few years since the release of the massively popularThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.With a scheduled launch date for May 12, Nintendo has already teased fans onwhat to expect fromTears of the Kingdomwhen it comes to the visuals and gameplay mechanics. Of course, it will be a while until players will get to experience how far the overarching story will progress beyondBreath of the Wild, the latest update indicates Nintendo may have more unannounced content in the works.

According to the upcoming game’s website listing, players can earn what the company calls Nintendo Points when pre-orderingTears of the Kingdom. Interestingly, it states that these Nintendo Points can be used to “buy more games and DLC.” At the bottom of the site page, it further mentions “full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately.” Nintendo itself is yet to officially confirm any DLC for the upcoming title, but it may not be surprising considering the same text was seen on the store page back whenBreath of the Wildannounced multiple expansions.
While theMariomaker will unlikely offer any updates on theTears of the KingdomDLC anytime soon, fans have already built expectations on possible upgraded gameplay along with more comprehensive content, thanks in part to the $70 price tag of the base game. Fortunately, there already seem to be glimpses of this, particularly considering howTears of the Kingdom’s map could match the scale ofElden Ring, hinting at more expansive content in the game.
