In announcing the plans, Cygames explains that the main campaign forDragalia Lostwill reach its final and climactic conclusion in July 2022 with the upcoming release of part two of Chapter 26. After the main campaign has ended, Cygames will shut down service for the game at a later date, which will be revealed in an additional message further down the road.

As of today, the main campaign ofDragalia Lostis currently on part two of Chapter 24. The developer typically releases a half-chapter every month, meaning that players still have a total of four more half chapters until the conclusion of the main campaign in July. While the exact end-of-service date is not known yet, part two of Chapter 26 is sure to be the last content update forDragalia Lost, as stated in the announcement.

As a side note, Cygames also plans to roll out a new summon showcase forDragalia Loston March 31st. This will be the last time a set of new adventurers is added to the game. However, Cygames was also quick to point out that summon showcases for existing adventurers anddragons, as well as event revivals, will continue to be made available in the coming months, up until the end of service of the game.

Fans of the game will certainly feel disappointed in hearing the news, especially those that have just stepped into the game after its third anniversary last September. While the game has had its own way of keeping players hooked by crossing over with multiple IPs, includingFire Emblem Heroes,Mega Man,Monster Hunter, and evenPersona 5, it’s no secret that Nintendo also has its own way of shutting down a live-service mobile game without any explanations at all, with the most recent beingDr. Mario World.

Dragalia Lostis available now on Android and iOS devices.
