For now, it appears there is a bit more of the flashback left and it will likely include the climax of the past of both Kuma as well as Bonney.
Given that the previous chapter covered Bonney’s escape from the Sorbet Kingdom, the upcoming chapter will focus heavily on her finally becoming a pirate in an attempt to seek out her father.
Bonney Becomes A Strong Pirate
One of the most important aspects ofOne Piecechapter 1102 is going to beBonney attempting to become a pirate.She has already set out with her beautiful flagship and, at the same time, her loyal crew in an attempt to find Kuma. Bonney knows that Kuma is in trouble and she intends to find him, no matter what. She also knows that there is some shady deal going on with the Government and, at the same time, that Vegapunk is somehow involved in all this. Fans will definitely get to see Bonney becoming a powerful pirate in the upcoming chapter. It must be remembered that at this point in the story, Bonney is 9 years old and, by the time she reaches Sabaody, she is 10.
This means Bonney journeys for an entire year as a pirate and she manages to go from the South Blue, all the way to Sabaody. It is highly likely that fans will get to see this journey unfolding in the upcoming chapters and that has everyone very excited. Fans will likely get to see what hardships Bonney had to face in an attempt to get to where she is now and how she successfully managed to get through them. Fans will also likely get to see Bonney controlling her powers better than ever before and gaining more proficiency with them. By all means, Bonney is an incredibly skilled pirate with quite a lot of strength up her sleeve and it is only a matter of time before Oda illustrates her powers in the flashback more.
World Government Captures Bonney
Towards the end of the previous chapter, it was made clearthat the World Governmentwas informed of Bonney’s escape from the Sorbet Kingdom. At the same time, fans also know that the World Government will be looking to hunt down Bonney. This isn’t all new information and is quite simple for one to predict. The World Government wants Kuma to uphold his promise and, to achieve that, they would need to keep a tight grip on Bonney. Now that Bonney has escaped, the World Government would want to keep Kuma under his thumb by capturing Bonney.
This has also been hinted at in the story already, especially when Akainu captures Bonney for the very first time. According to what he said, Bonney has been captured by the Celestial Dragons before and she has escaped their watchful eye more than once. This means that the World Government or their agents will somehow capture Bonney in the upcoming chapters and fans will also get to see her escape from this group later on. This is incredibly essential to the story and will, once again, serve as a means to connect the dots between plot points that Oda already established around the timeskip and the current events. These chapters will also be very interesting in the sense that fans will get to see how Bonney’s pirate career shaped up and how she escaped from the World Government again and again, despite their overwhelming strength.
Kuma’s Secret Programs
As is expected,One Piecechapter 1102 is also going to focus on Kuma quite a bit. This flashback is centered around his character and fans should thoroughly expect him to be at the forefront of things, once again. In the previous chapter, fans got to see Kuma and do bits here and there. He apprehended pirates and helped save those whom he deemed worthy of help. He evenaided the Revolutionary Armysecretly, without getting his name out in public. Kuma continuously writes to Bonney as well and it is going to be incredibly interesting to see how the next few chapters shape his character.
What fans do know at this point is that Kuma’s transformation into a Pacifista is not complete just yet. His memories will need to be erased and that would also require extensive planning from Kuma and Vegapunk.
Fans also know that Kuma had secret codes written into his program. These codes allowed him to protect Thousand Sunny during the timeskip and, at the same time, were also likely responsible for him trying to protect Bonney currently. This is likely something that Kuma planned together with Vegapunk and could come into effect in the upcoming chapterOne Piece. One Piecechapter 1102 could also showcase Kuma finally edging closer to his eventual demise as a human being. Fans might also get to see how Kuma went to Thriller Bark and challenged the Straw Hat Pirates. Glimpses before the Paramount War could also be given to the fans, and, this is because at this point in the story, he had lost his memories.
The End Of The Flashback?
One Piece chapter 1102 could end up being the end of the flashback or, at the very least, the penultimate chapter leading to the end of this incredible flashback.Fans could see Kuma’s remaining lifeand more focus being thrown on Bonney at the same time. It is clear that if Kuma’s life is highlighted more from here onwards, fans will likely get to see him going to Thriller Bark. This was very close to the time that Kuma lost his humanity and, thus, will play a part in the flashback. Fans will also likely get to see him heading to Sabaody and splittingthe Straw Hat Piratesup and his thinking before he did it in the first place.
It was made clear by Doflamingo that Kuma lost his humanity shortly before the Paramount War arc. This means that the flashback will conclude shortly prior to the events of the Paramount War and fans will likely get to see the story return to Egghead Island very soon. All these things will likely be showcased in the upcoming chapter of One Piece and fans absolutely cannot wait for that.
