Last month, Team 17 releasedOvercooked: All you’re able to Eat, a remastered bundle of the first two games in the franchise for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s no surprise thatOvercooked: All You Can Eatremainsa popular title for both next-generation consoles, especially now that many families are staying home for the holidays. Unfortunately, it appears that the game contains a major bug that is currently affecting its local multiplayer mode on the Xbox Series X.
According to player reports, the bug is triggered when players unlock a certain achievement that will kick them out of a level and back to the main menu. It is worth noting that reports of this glitch were made as early as last month, where players cannot assign roles when there is more than one controller connected to the console. This means that once the glitch is activated, players can’t playOvercooked: All You Can Eatvia local multiplayer.

Although reports on when exactly the bug is triggered vary from case to case, the consensus is that as soon as the game showers players with achievements, it will bring them back to the main menu, which results in players losing all progress on the current level that they are in. There is still no word if the problem is also present in the PS5 version of the game or if Team17 is already aware of the issue. Given the severity of the glitch thatbreaks the game’s local multiplayer mode, it is likely that a fix will be patched intoOvercooked: All you may Eatsoon.
Meanwhile, Team17 revealed several weeks ago thatOvercooked: All you’re able to Eatwill be released inphysical format for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Players in North America should expect the physical edition of the bundle to be released on December 11 and will be priced at $49.99. Unfortunately for players on current-gen consoles, it appears that the game will remain exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and players on current-gen platforms would have to rely on the original releases of bothOvercookedgames.
