Blizzard has confirmed thatOverwatch 2is finally bringing back player levels as part of the Season 6 Invasion update on August 10. The transition from the originalOverwatchtoOverwatch 2saw a lot of features lost in translation. However, Blizzard has been slowly bringing back some of the missing fan favorite features. For example, the originalOverwatchgame had an “On Fire” feature that activated whenever someone was playing particularly well. The team decided to scrap the On Fire feature inOverwatch 2, though remnants of it still remained in the game. Fans made it clear that they wanted to see theOn Fire feature return inOverwatch 2, and Blizzard eventually delivered on that front, bringing back On Fire with some slight tweaks.RELATED:Lucky Overwatch 2 Player Finds Rare Widowmaker Skin Code at GoodwillOverwatch 1also had player levels that didn’t make the jump toOverwatch 2. Blizzard is going all out with theOverwatch 2Season 6 update, but it remains to be seen if it will be enough to draw lapsed players back to the game. It was recently confirmed that theOverwatch 2PvE story missions will cost $15, and that’s just for the first three missions. This is despite the fact thatOverwatch 2is presented as a free-to-play game. Needless to say, many fans have been upset about Blizzard’s decision, though it doesn’t seem like the company is budging on the matter.
Overwatch 2is out now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
