Overwatch 2players discover that during the Dr. Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride game mode, there’s a portrait of a dog, which will respond to them if they emote while facing it.Overwatch 2’sHalloween eventhas been somewhat controversial to fans, as it has brought about a new era for Blizzard’s popular FPS which no longer allows for loot box mechanics, instead making players pay for the skins they want with premium currency.
Even as some fans call for Blizzard to bringloot boxes back toOverwatch 2, there are plenty of fans enjoying the other additions that have come as part of the game’s Halloween event. A new game mode has been brought toOverwatch 2, returning the Dr. Junkenstein character to the game with a new story centered around Sombra taking on the role of his bride. A lot of players have been enjoying the PvE experience that’s come with the Wrath of the Bride game mode, as well as earning the achievements that arrived with it.

Alongside the core gameplay of Wrath of the Bride,Overwatch 2’sHalloween event is also full of secrets for the player to explore. One wholesome Easter egg that’s been spotted online involves a portrait of a dog. Using some ofOverwatch 2’svoice linesin front of the dog will cause it to respond, and while this doesn’t give the player any reward for interacting with the painting, still a lot of fans are enjoying the neat detail Blizzard put in.
Depending on the voice lines a player uses, they will get a slightly different response from the dog as well. In a clip posted by the “Can You Pet The Dog” Twitter account, Ashe inOverwatch 2both says hello and thanks to the dog portrait, getting a bark and another noise in response. The dog portrait doesn’t have too many ways to respond to the player, but considering it is an animal that doesn’t really exist, it’s still somewhat impressive that it can bark at all.
Alongside the discovery of the dog portrait Easter egg inOverwatch 2, there are also plenty of other secrets in the new PvE mode. For some, this isn’t enough to saveOverwatch 2’sfirst Halloween Event, but it certainly freshens up the formula of the game, perhaps even giving players a look at the story mode Blizzard will introduce at some point in its sequel to the 2015 FPS.
