APokemonfan has imagined a Gigantamax form for the Alolan version of Golem. There have been a few different mechanics in Game Freak’s RPG series that allow pocket monsters to transform in mid-battle. This includesPokemon Scarlet and Violet’sTerastalizationand Mega Evolution fromPokemon X and Y.

There is alsoDynamaxing fromPokemon Sword and Shield, which sees creatures grow to epic proportions. Some Pokemon were even given a special transformation known as Gigantamaxing, which saw them grow huge while also taking on a special form. One gamer decided to create their own Gigantamax version of Golem, specifically the Alolan version of the pocket monster.

On Reddit, a user named Gurlu posted an image of a Gigantamax version of Alolan Golem. The rocks that were on the Pokemon have broken off and now seem to orbit it. According to Gurlu, this form of Golem is supposed to be similar to a gas planet covered in storms. Along with Pokedex entries, the Gigantamax Golem was also given a special attack of its own called G-Max Magnetar. It is anElectric-Typeattack that causes Golem and its allies levitate for five turns. Gurlu’s idea is an interesting one and could have easily fit intoPokemon Sword and Shield.

A few Redditors expressed their love for Gurlu’s Gigantamax Alolan Golem by calling it sick and cool. One commenter said that the artist was good at designing, while another complimented the design of thePokemonitself. It was an intriguing idea to turn Alolan Golem into a stormy planet, especially since it does work. Gurlu did state that they had a lot of ideas for the Pokemon and tried to fit them all together without making it too complex. The artist idea did work and looks as if it were actually fromPokemon Sword and Shield.

Gurlu had also made a Gigantamax version of the original Golem. Similar to the Alolan Golem Gigantamax version, the original Golem is also a planet while in its transformation. While its base body does look similar to its normal form, the Pokemon now has two rings orbiting it that seem to be made of different types of matter when Gigantamaxed. Its unique move while its transformed is aRock-Typemove called G-Max Orbit, which has the same effect as G-Max Magnetar. While both Gigantamax versions of Golem share many similarities, they each have their own individual traits that make them unique from each other. Gurlu’s ideas are great and show that there was a lot of potential when it came to Gigantamax forms for all the various Pokemon available.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
