APokemonfan put pen to paper to design their version of whatMega Charizard Zcould look like in the upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-Aand shared their work with other trainers. ThePokemonfan artist explained why they chose the color palette they used to create their Charizard, and other fans complimented them for the effort.
Known as the Flame Pokemon, Charizard is the final evolution of the Charmander line. Originally featured on the box art ofPokemonRedandPokemon FireRed, Charizard has been one of the most popular Pokemon since its debut in the first generation. Even though its base form is one of the most powerful Fire-type Pokemon, Charizard was given further boosts inPokemon X and Y. Charizard and Mewtwo were the only Pokemon to receive version-exclusive Mega Evolutions in the sixth generation. Mega Charizard Y retained Charizard’s Fire and Flying types, and Mega Charizard X changed Charizard’s colors to black and blue, and its types to Fire and Dragon.

With the knowledge thatCharizard already had Mega Evolution forms, onePokemonfan artist gave it a third one as a concept. On Reddit, aPokemonfan artist named Allen1-4Scale posted their take on a potential Mega Charizard Z form. The OP kept Charizard as a Fire-type Pokemon, but changed its secondary type to Psychic. They also changed Charizard’s primary color scheme from orange and blue to purple and yellow. Mega Charizard Z’s wings were a deep shade of purple, and the flames on its tail extended to its legs and mouth. Mega Charizard Z also had extra horns atop its head, and its body had gold-colored markings scattered throughout.
Pokemon Fan Creates Impressive Mega Charizard Z Design
If Mega Charizard Z were an actual Pokemon, its Fire and Psychic dual typeswould be shared with Delphox, who also debuted inPokemon X and Y. Psychic types are known for having high special attack and special defense stats, and Mega Charizard Z would lean heavily on either of those benefits while transformed. However, the OP did not state what abilities or moves Mega Charizard Z would receive. In the comments, somePokemonfans complimented the Allen1-4Scale for their design, with some stating that Charizard looked like it had fused with Exploud for its purple color scheme.
WithMega Evolutions returning inPokemon Legends: Z-A, fans have let their imaginations roam free. WhatPokemonfan artists will create until its release remains to be seen.
