With each generation of games, the amount of Pokemon in thePokemonseries gets larger and larger. Impressively, there are now around 900 different species of pocket monsters, and that number looks to only grow as the upcomingPokemon Scarlet and Violetgamesare expected to release later this year. While new additions to the series get many fans excited, a lot of Pokemon already seen in the games are popular, such as Spheal.

Spheal is anIce/Water-type Pokemonfirst added to the series back in Gen 3. As the name suggests, this Pokemon is based on the real-life design of a seal and has many of the same features. For example, it has a set of flippers used for traveling through water. Due to its cute appearance, Spheal has become popular with many gamers.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Tedx11 shared a video of a recent animation they made. Using Blender 3.1, a computer graphics software, they decided to make an impressive video featuringSpheal from thePokemonseries. In the clip, the Ice/Water-type Pokemon is seen in a pond. Impressively, the design of the Spheal featured many of the same iconic elements as its in-game counterpart; it had the same bulbous body with a blue and white coloration. In the short animation, the Pokemon spun around in a circle in the water.

Since Tedx11 posted this video of thePokemonon Reddit, a number of members of thePokemoncommunity have taken notice. With nearly 400 upvotes in only a few hours, many liked the design of the Spheal. Among the comments, some liked that the animator chose to have Spheal spinning in a circle. “He do be spinning tho,” Nervous-Weird-7784 said on Reddit. In addition, others claimed that Spheal was one of their favorite Pokemon because of its seal-like design.

Remarkably, this is not the onlyPokemonanimation that Tedx11 has made recently. For those interested in seeing more, the animator has short clips featuring other Pokemon as well. For example, a couple of weeks ago, the Reddit user created another 3D animation in Blender, except this time for Lucario. Just as with the Spheal video, the Lucario model shared a striking resemblance to the one seen in the games.

It will be interesting to see how this new Spheal animation inspires the rest of thePokemoncommunity. Recently, anothergamer made an incredible Vaporeon dollthat took them over 30 hours to complete. Perhaps Tedx11 will decide to make an animation featuring a Vaporeon next. Regardless, whatever they create in the future is likely to impress.
