Pokemon GOis in the midst of its Adventure Week, where it gives players the chance to catch Rock-type and fossil Pokemon. Next week,Pokemon GOwill be kicking off itsTrading Card Game crossoverwith another special event, and then at the end of the month,Pokemon GOfans have a brand-new Community Day event to look forward to, the details of which have now been shared by developer Niantic.

ThePokemon GOJune 2022 Community Day event will take place on Saturday, June 25 from 11:00am to 2:00pm local time. During the event,Pokemon GOplayers will have the chance to add the Irate Pokemon Deino to their collection. As always, Deino spawns will be drastically increased while thePokemon GOCommunity Day event is live, with players having a much greater chance of snagging a shiny Deino for their collection.

Besides catching a shiny Deino, thePokemon GOJune 2022 Community Day will also give players the chance to get a Hydreigon with a special attack. FirstPokemon GOplayers will need to evolve Deino into Zweilous, and then they will need to evolve Zweilous into Hydreigon. If done while the event is still active,Pokemon GOplayers will get a Hydreigon with the special Charged Attack Brutal Swing, which is aDark-typemove that dishes out 65 power in trainer battles, gyms, and raids.

Pokemon GO June 2022 Community Day Date and Time

WhilePokemon GOplayers are out catching as many Deino as possible, there are other bonuses they can enjoy. This includes 1/4 hatch distance forPokemon GOeggs, double the chances to receive Deino Candy XL, double candy for catching Pokemon, Lure Modules that last three hours, incense that lasts three hours, and more. However, there is one bizarre restriction that has somePokemon GOfans scratching their heads.

From 2:00pm to 7:00pm local time on the same day as Deino Community Day,Pokemon GOplayers will be able to battle Zweilous in raids. Defeating Zweilous in a raid will make more Deino spawn in the immediate vicinity for half an hour. While that’s all fine and good,Pokemon GOplayers can only use Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes to participate in these raids; for some unknown reason, Niantic has made it so fans won’t be able to useRemote Raid Passeswhen doing these raids.

This effectively makes the Zweilous raids pointless forPokemon GOplayers who live in rural areas or are otherwise unable to play in an in-person group, and it seems like a needless restriction. The bright side is that there should be so many Deino spawning while theCommunity Dayis live thatPokemon GOplayers should still be able to get plenty of Zweilous with little difficulty.
