Pokemon GOFest 2024: Globalbegan on July 13 as a two-day event. Like previous iterations of the event, all Pokemon GO players may participate inPokemon GOFest 2024 for free, but those who purchase a global ticket have access to additional activities and rewards. This year, players who’ve purchased a global ticket may work together to complete a Global Challenge during each Habitat Hour. The first two Ultra Unlock events have already been unlocked, and players are close to unlocking the Ultra Unlock Mega Raid Day event, which will mark the debut of an anticipated Mega Evolution inPokemon GO.
The officialPokemon GOTwitter account teased a silhouette of Mega Lucario, asking players about what Pokemon they think will be featured duringthe Ultra Unlock Mega Raid Day event. Unsurprisingly, many users were quick to point out that the silhouette is indeed Mega Lucario, and the community appears to be very excited about the upcoming event. Ultra Unlock Mega Raid Day will begin on Saturday, July 06, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. local time, and players may be lucky enough to encounter a Shiny Mega Lucario. The event will end at 5:00 p.m. local time that same day, so players will only have six hours to participate and claim victory.
Pokemon GO Teases Mega Lucario Ultra Unlock Mega Raid Day Event
Before the Ultra Unlock Mega Raid Day comes around, the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Better Together event will arrive on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m local time. This event will let players encounter additional Pokemon making their in-game debut, complete new Timed Research tasks, and take advantage of limited-time event bonuses, similarly toPokemon GOCommunity Day events. These bonuses include double Catch Candy and 4x Catch XP from encounters. Ultra Unlock Part 1: Better Together will end on Monday, Jun 02, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Ultra Unlock Part 2: Strength of Steel event will begin just three days later, on Thursday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Niantic will introduce another new Pokemon making theirPokemon GOdebut in Ultra Unlock Part 2: Strength of Steel, and players will encountera Shiny variant of the new Pokemon. Part 2 will end on Tuesday, July 05, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
