Insomniac Games has released a brand new trailer forRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartthat reveals the highly-anticipated game’s release date.
After aTaiwan ratings board leak suggested that theRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartrelease datewould be revealed sooner rather than later, Insomniac Games has made the official announcement. TheRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartrelease date is June 11, exclusively on Sony’s next-generation PlayStation 5 console. Those interested inRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartcan pre-order the game now.

Those that pre-orderRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartwill be able to get their hands on some exclusive content. This includes the Carbonox Armor from 2003’sRatchet & Clank: Going Commandofor Ratchet and the still-unidentified female Ratchet, as well as the Pixelizer weapon that was featured in theRatchet & Clankremake from 2016. This armor and weapon should be readily familiar to longtime fans of theRatchet & Clankfranchise, but they’ve been given visual upgrades to match the PS5’s standards.
Ratchet & Clankfans can also purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game for $79.99, $10 more expensive than the base game’s $69.99 asking price. TheRatchet & Clank: Rift ApartDigital Deluxe Edition comes with the full game, five armor sets, a photo mode sticker pack, 20 Raritanium (described as in-game upgrade materials), the digital soundtrack, and the digital art book. It’s unclear how plentiful Raritanium will be inRatchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but it seems as though the Digital Deluxe Edition will give players a decent head-start when it comes to upgradingRatchet’s weapons.
With theRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartrelease date now in sight, fans should learn a lot more about the game and what exactly it will entail. The identity of themysterious female Lombaxwill likely be revealed, as will the full scope ofDr. Nefarious' plans. More gameplay details will likely be revealed in the months leading up to launch as well, soRatchet & Clankfans should have a lot to look forward to this year.
When Insomniac launchesRatchet & Clank: Rift Apart, one has to imagine that the studio will turn its focus to its next major project. Insomniac’s next game afterRatchet & Clank: Rift Aparthas not been revealed at the time of this writing, but it’s generally believed to beMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.
