In theResident Evil 4remake, theWolf Tailis an accessory for Leon that can be purchased from the Extra Content Shop. Likethe Chicken Hat, it comes with a stat perk, increasing the wearer’s physical strength. If, for example, killing a Zealot takes two spin-kicks, with the Wolf Tail, it’ll take only one. (It works like a permanent melee damage booster.) But to get this quirky tail, players must beat the campaign on a specific difficulty and with a particular rank.

What the Wolf Tail Does
As a unique apparel, the Wolf Tail increases Leon’s physical damage. When equipped, the tail strengthens his kicks, punches, and suplexes, making melee attacks deadlier. But note that the perk activates only when Leon wears the Wolf Tail; unlocking it in the shop won’t affect the gameplay.
How to Equip the Wolf Tail
After purchasing the Wolf Tail, it becomes accessible from the main and pause menu. To wear it, the player must go to theExtrastab and toggle the tail on inLeon’s Accessories. (There is no way to toggle the view off, and the tail will be visible on all outfits.)
Ashley can’t wear the Wolf Tail—or any other Leon-exclusive accessories.
Is the Wolf Tail Worth It?
Compared with otherunique accessories like the Cat Earsor Chicken Hat, the Wolf Tail has an insignificant boost. But players can capitalize on its perk by matching it with other apparel. A good idea, for example, is towear the Wolf Tail with the Chicken Hat or Deer Antlers for maximum stamina and melee power. On its own, however, the tail is not worth it. Players are better off spending their Challenge Points on utility items like the Primal Knife or theChicago Sweeper.
TheResident Evil 4remake is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
