Despite the team-based shooter being released over 6 years ago, players continue to amaze the community with new and impressive highlights. For example, one player recently made an incredible play as Soldier 76.
Soldier 76 is one of the original members of theOverwatchroster. Boasting a Pulse Rifle that has both automatic fire and the capability to shoot Helix Rockets, he is effective at a number of ranges. In addition, he can sprint and can deploy a Biotic Field to heal himself and other teammates. While these abilities make him a powerful force on the battlefield, one player recently found themselves in a tough spot while playing as the hero.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as charger03 shared a video from their time playingOverwatch. While there have been countless clips uploaded from the game over the years, this one stood out as it featured Soldier 76 escaping what appeared to be certain death in one of the most unlikely ways possible. The action started with the Reddit userplaying as Soldier 76on Rialto, an Escort map. During the match, the player turned a corner and unexpectedly ran into a charging Reinhardt. What happened next was both unexpected and incredible, to say the least.
Just when it looked as though charger03 was doomed, they received some incredible luck. After being pinned by the charging Reinhardt, both players were sent flying out over a body of water near the first checkpoint on the map. However, the Reddit player landed safely on one of the gondolas resting on the body of the water. The Reinhardt player was not so lucky. Following this unexpected turn of events, charger03 waited a few seconds and then took another passing boat back to dry land. “Probably my luckiestOverwatchmoment ever,” they said after the unbelievable encounter.
Unsurprisingly, this ridiculous Overwatch clip featuring Soldier 76 piqued the interest of numerousmembers of theOverwatchcommunityon Reddit. With over 3,400 upvotes in less than a week, many were impressed with the player’s luck. In addition, some joked about how embarrassing it would have been if the player had missed the final jump to get back to their team. “The comedic alternate ending is you missing the last jump.” one user said.
While it might be hard to top the incredible luck of charger03, many other players have been showing off their skills inOverwatchover the past couple of weeks. For example, another player pulled off animpressive charge as Reinhardt on the Oasis map. Time will tell what plays are made in the coming days as players continue to wait for the next opportunity to playOverwatch 2.
