Destiny 2is continuously growing thanks to Bungie’s many updates, be it new Seasons or annual expansions the size of Forsaken and Beyond Light. With The Witch Queen on the horizon, Bungie is going to add even more things to do and items to get inDestiny 2, but there is a notable stop on the way to February of next year in the form of the30th Anniversary Pack. The DLC is releasing on all platforms on December 7, and with it, Bungie is adding a new Dungeon, an activity for six players, and plenty of reprised loot.
This includes Gjallarhorn coming toDestiny 2after years of glory inDestiny, or other classics like Eyasluna and 1000-Yard Stare, but Bungie didn’t divulge much about what else is coming with the Pack. Considering there will be a huge sandbox patch coming with the 30th Anniversary Pack, which includes plenty of ability changes andStasis nerfs, it’s not impossible that Bungie has more planned for this big event. Of course, there will be ornaments and items tied to Bungie’s past games, like Marathon, but that’s likely not all.

Today, a Reddit user by the name of xOnslaught shared what seems to be the percentage of weapon usage for the top picks inDestiny 2, likely inTrials of Osiris. The screenshot includes a bunch of weapons that are already in the game, and some that aren’t, among which Ice Breaker is the most relevant of all. The gun is an Exotic sniper rifle from the first installment of the series, and it became extremely popular due to its ability to regenerate ammo over time instead of needing to be reloaded.
The gun as is would likely never be reworked inDestiny 2since it would break the ammo economy, much like it already did in the Trials of the Nine inDestiny. Still, the fact that Eyasluna is in the same screenshot gives credibility to the source, considering the popular hand cannon is coming toDestiny 2with the aforementioned 30th Anniversary Pack. This would make Ice Breaker’s return with the same DLC a possibility, which would justify why its data is already there.
Still, Joe Blackburn stated during a recent interview with Teawrex thatDestinyweapons are never the same when reprised inDestiny 2, and that’s because the two games are very different from one another at this point. This doesn’t invalidate the idea that Ice Breaker could still be coming back, but at this point, it’s just a rumor.
