Elden Ringfans have been starved for updates on the upcoming game fromDark Soulsstudio FromSoftware ever since it was first announced at E3 2019. While FromSoftware has remained mostly quiet aboutElden Ringsince then, rumors point to new information coming to light sooner rather than later. In fact, it’s possible that someElden Ringnews could drop within the next two months or so.

This was teased by industry insider Jeff Grubb, who responded to a meme comparingElden Ringexcitement to theongoing GameStop stock situation. Grubb said thatElden Ringexcitement “Should soon go to the moon,” suggesting that a reveal of some kind is going to take place. This obviously excited someElden Ringfans on Twitter, who pressed Grubb for more information, who hinted at more details.

Grubb’s tweets suggestElden Ringnews may not come within the month, but more likely within the next 60 days. That matches up with previous reports thatElden Ringnews would be coming within the first half of 2021. Grubb then clarified the statement to explain that he does not have “perfect information” when it comes toElden Ring, but that he has “heard some things from different people” that make him optimistic that the game will be shown off soon. He also clarified that he does not know specific dates about anyElden Ringreveals.

Since FromSoftware has shown next to nothing aboutElden Ringsince its E3 2019 reveal, the game’s subreddit has had to take matters into its own hands. Fans on the subreddit have been creating endlessElden Ringmemes, mainly about FromSoftware’s silence, while essentially creating their own lore for the game. It will be interesting to see how many of the fan theories match up to the actual game whenever fans are shown more of it.

As it stands, very little is known aboutElden Ringin an official capacity. It’s known thatGame of Thronescreator George R.R. Martin is working on the game, but beyond that, everything else is rumor and speculation. It’s expected thatElden Ringwill be a more open world take on theDark Soulsformula, but until official gameplay is revealed, fans should take that information with a grain of salt.

Until FromSoftware finally decides to break its silence onElden Ring, all fans can do is speculate. In the meantime, hopefully some moreElden Ringconcept art leaksto help tide fans over until more substantial information becomes available.
