Where are the Shrines in the Squats?
The first level ofSifufeatures four Shrines including one that is only available for players who activatethe shortcut in the Squats level ofSifu. For players who have not been able to get their hands on the Bunch of Keys and open this shortcut, the first Shrine doesn’t come until after players have advanced past the side-scrolling fight in this level. This leads to a rooftop fight with some enemies just before a small room with a climbable wall which is the location of the first Shrine. The next Shrine doesn’t come until after a fight in a room full of enemies and bags of money. This leads to a hallway with a door on the left and a locked door up ahead. The Shrine is at the far end of the room that the door on the left leads to.
The third and final Shrine on the longer path through the Squats doesn’t come until beforethe boss ofSifu’s first level, Fajar the Botanist. After entering and defeating all the enemies in the large building, players encounter a large NPC and two other enemies. Defeating all three will lead players down a pathway with the third Shrine found on the right side. The fourth Shrine is only available through the shortcut after players openthe locked doors inSifu’s Squats levelsand fight the three new enemies on their path. After doing so, the Shrine can be found under the small, elevated shack.

Where are the Shrines in the Club?
The Club level ratchets up the difficulty, but still gives players a few Shrines. The first of these can be found on the main dance floor after players clear the room and fight off the mini-boss right by the DJ. The second Shrine is much further down the path that the left door leads to and in a room full of NPCs in training. Fortunately, there is no need to fight anyone in this room. The shortcut forSifu’s Club leveltakes players directly from the first Shrine and through the door on the right side of the dance floor, which leads to this room with the Shrine.
The final Shrine comes at the very end of the Club level just before players take onSean the fighter,Sifu’s second boss. After taking on the two disciples of Sean, players enter a room in which the Shrine can be found on the right.

Where are the Shrines in the Museum?
Sifu’s third level, the Museum, features three Shrines but, for those looking to go straight to the boss fight, there is just a single Shrine immediately before the boss. In a normal run-through of this difficult level, players won’t run into a Shrine until the second floor in the second part of the exhibit. Players first fight against a pair of Sean the Fighter’s disciples and then enter a room with a few enemies, a swinging art exhibit, and the Shrine, which can be found behind a partition.
The next Shrine doesn’t come until the top floor of the Museum and stands on a plinth next to the railing. Players can get to this location by usingthe stairs shortcut inSifu’s Museum levelor by making their way through each level and all the exhibits. This leads to a level transformation and a long battle against numerous enemies until they reach the fourth boss. The final Shrine is available to those who either take the elevator, the stairwell, or progress through the level without a shortcut. It stands next to a small stream just beforeplayers encounter Kuroki the Artist inSifu.

Where are the Shrines in the Tower?
The Tower is a mix of a modern office building and a series of underground rooms that can be quite challenging. In this level of the game, players have their choice of three Shrines or just two if they usethe shortcut inSifu’s Tower level. The first of the Shrines requires players to make their way up the left elevator and through a series of rooms with numerous enemies in each. It stands at the far end of a hallway and is the only Shrine in the above section of the tower.
The next Shrine doesn’t come until the underground section of the level. Players need to make their way through the first room full of enemies and into the first mini-boss down here. This difficult fight takes place in the room with the Shrine, and it can be accessed once the NPC has been defeated. The final Shrine comes right beforethe fight with Jingfeng the CEO inSifuand is located on a stone platform all the way down in the pit. This is the last opportunity to heal and manage any upgrades before this difficult fight and so players will want to make use of it before jumping in.

Where are the Shrines in the Sanctuary?
The final level inSifugives players three Shrines in total before they take onSifu’s last boss, Yang the Leader. The first Shrine is off of the room after the lobby and in the kitchen behind the left door. There are a handful of enemies in this area, but, once they are defeated, players can find the Shrine in the back of the room. The second Shrine doesn’t come until the aromatic garden is entered. This requires players to enter a few of the buildings around the area, after which they will find the shrine on top of a stone in the middle of the garden between buildings.
As with other levels inSifu, the final shrine comes just before the fight with the boss. In this level, that means players need to make their way through the very challenging enemies in the main garden area leading up to the building at the top of the level. The shortcut in the Sanctuary level ofSifuskips the second Shrine, but still gives players the option for the first and last Shrines. The latter is in the final building where Yang the Leader is located.

How to Use Shrines in Sifu?
For starters, activating a Shrine heals players automatically. This is already reason enough to visit these small statues, but, on top of this, players can activate a single reward for the length of their current run andunlockSifu’s permanent skills here. There are nine options to choose from, with three each under the categories: Age, Score, and XP.

The options have different requirements based on the benefit they provide. Underneath Age, players can add to their Structure bar, add to the health they gain with takedowns, or increase the durability of weapons. Underneath the Score category, players can gain more structure from avoiding attacks, gain more focus from parrying and avoiding, or increase the structure damage players deal from parrying.
Finally, underneath the XP category, players can add a half bar to their Focus, increase the damage weapons do to the structure of enemies, or reset a player’s death counter. Players can also open up their skill tree when using a Shrine to unlocksome of the permanent skills inSifu. This comes in handy when players have a successful run and want to take advantage of all the XP they have gathered to that point.
