Keeping in line with past Pokemon releases from Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, it seems as if one Reddit user has gotten their hands on an early copy ofPokemon Brilliant Diamondtwo weeks ahead of its official launch. This is not something new forthe Pokemon Company, as it has suffered many leaks like this in the past when approaching new release dates.
In a since deleted thread by a since deleted user, several pictures and a video were uploaded to Reddit. It is not clear exactly what was uploaded, though an image on Twitter user @eclipse_tt’s profile shows what appears to be the actual box and art forPokemon Brilliant Diamond, as well as a picture of the back of the case. Assuming this is legitimate, it will be the second time Nintendo will have suffered a leak this month, asMario Party Superstarswas leaked online a week before its release at the end of October via actual PC emulation.

It’s not immediately apparent how the Reddit user received their early copy ofPokemon Brilliant Diamond, though it is common forvideo game pre-ordersto find their way into hands a few days early. However, two weeks ahead of launch is a significant amount of time and not so common to hear of, so fans should be wary of spoilers spreading when browsing the internet over the coming weeks. Nintendo has not publicly commented on the leaks as of the moment, and it remains to be seen if it will, as The Big N is notorious for remaining silent on such things.
Some might shrug at the leaks forPokemon Brilliant Diamond, as it is a remake of an older gen of Pokemon games from back in 2007. However, some have theorized that there may be additional content added to this title as well asPokemon Shining Pearl. There have been some minor and major additions made toremakes of olderPokemontitles, so it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility that a similar situation could be seen here.
However Nintendo and The Pokemon Company deal with these leaks, gamers should take care when entering comment sections or browsing content that involvesthePokemonCommunity, as the leaks are likely to be spread across the internet far and wide by launch day.
