This figure was based on numbers “as of June 12, 2025,” so it’s plausible that these numbers are even higher at this point, too. In the briefing, Sony described the game as a “Great success for a major PlayStation Studios game series and category,” so evidently the company is impressed with the performance so far. The most recent major update prior to this revealed thatMarvel’s Spider-Man 2had sold 5 million copies as of November 2023, so, while sales have slowed in the months since, it still shows impressive performance beyond the initial launch period of the game.

With sales figures like this, there’s no doubt that gamers haven’t seen the last of Insomniac’s version of Spider-Man. The enormousInsomniac leak from late last yearcertainly indicated that plans were underway to expand theMarvel’s Spider-Manuniverse, with aVenomgame and a sequel planned over the next few years.
