Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhasreleased Update 6, hoping to fix several issues that have plagued the title since its April launch. Technical issues notwithstanding,Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas been lauded for its combat, exploration, and narrative storytelling, being argued as one of the greatestStar Warsvideo games ever made alongside its 2019 predecessor.
Despite its acclaim,Jedi: Survivorwas mired in technical problems upon its launch. PC players suffered frequent crashes, and the sequel featured rocky performance dips on consoles when exploring larger areas on themain planet Koboh. Along his journey, protagonist Cal Kestis comes into contact with a former bounty hunter named Caij, who gives him intel about a large group of Haxion Brood adversaries who’ve come hunting for him across Koboh and beyond, which players can track down and kill. Unfortunately, players have been encountering problems where some bounty hunters wouldn’t spawn when seeking them out. On top of that, Caij herself appears invisible in her most important cutscene. Thankfully, a new patch rolling out today looks to be fixing these issues and more.

Headlining the patch notes are crash fixes for consoles as well as PC. Since it seems like the PC version suffered the most from crashes, hopefully, players on the platform can finally find some relief with help from this patch. The issues with the bounty system have been addressed as well. Now players should be able togo after those Haxion Brood banditswithout them skipping out on the date. Additionally, Caij’s unintentional invisibility in one of her more important cutscenes has been fixed, ridding the distracting bug from one of the game’s coolest moments.
The effects of this newest patch extend beyond Koboh and onto the sands of Jedha, where large chunks of Cal’sJedi: Survivorjourney also take place. A bug related to a wind puzzle on the desert planet has been squashed. Additionally, the runaway training dummy in the Hidden Path’s temple, whereCal learns his blaster stance, will now remain stationary as intended. Speaking of Cal’s blaster stance, the fighting style that sees him wield his saber in one hand and a blaster in the other is seeing improved handling in this patch as well.
With many of its glaring technical problems finding solutions several months after launch, sentiment surroundingStar Wars Jedi: Survivorshould hopefully improve. Gamers who’ve been holding out on the second chapter of Cal’s journey due to these issues should hopefully now be able to enjoySurvivor’s state-of-the-art gameplay and storytelling free of worry.
