In the past, fans have hadThe Witchersigns tattooed on their arms. While such things show dedication to the franchise, one fan opted to take it further. In a recent post, Reddit user Vortex60 revealed a new tattoo he just had finished. Specifically, it was one of the game’s potential antagonists: the Leshen.

The Leshen were first mentioned inThe Witcherbooks by writer Andrzej Sapkowski. However, they’re mostly used as background lore detail and were made to make the world seem more mysterious and mystical. Geralt never actually encounters one in the books themselves, though they have appeared in bothThe Witcher 3: Wild HuntandThe WitcherNetflix series.

The Witcher 3Leshensarguably paint forest guardians in a more horrific light. Gamers only ever encounter one in the game during the In The Heart of the Woods quest. In it, a Skellige village has been divided over the issue of a Leshen that is in a nearby forest. A clan elder seems to think that it helps make the people in their village strong, while younger members want the creature gone. Should Geralt side with the younger villages, the player must track the Leshen down and kill it while deciding what to do with those infected by it.

ALeshen also appears in the second season ofThe WitcherNetflixseries but is referred to as a Leshy. In the series, the creature infects one of Geralt’s friends and his fellow Witcher, Eskel, resulting in the character’s shocking death. Despite the horrific background surrounding the Leshen, however, it seems that one fan wants a lifelong reminder of the memorableWitcherenemy.
