In an interview withIGN, Bethesda’s Todd Howard claimed, “we’re doing a lot ofStarfieldwork as well. So we have some really good updates that are going to get announced soon for that game.” Themost recent update forStarfieldwas the largest to date, bringing an enormous number of fixes to Bethesda’s space RPG. If numerous updates are on the way of this scale, thenStarfieldplayers certainly have a ton to look forward to going forward.
Todd Howard Teases Starfield Updates
Regardless of other developments at the studio, it was clear that Bethesda was never going to simply abandonStarfield. The developer has a long history of updating its games for years past their initial launch date and on top of this, there is still theShattered SpaceDLC forStarfieldto come. Not only will Shattered Space likely add a substantial amount of content to the game, but it also represents a clean slate for Bethesda. If Shattered Space can prove a hit with players, it could be a great chance for the public perception aroundStarfieldto shift, winning back some community goodwill for Bethesda.

With Bethesda reaffirming its commitment toStarfield, it is an extremely busy period for the studio. It was recently confirmed thatThe Elder Scrolls 6is in a playable state, and development on the long-awaited sequel is now in full flow. The ongoing success of theFalloutTV show complicates matters too - it remains to be seen if the studio will find a way to capitalize on this while the hype is still enormous. No matter what happens, one thing is for sure - it’s a good time to be a Bethesda fan.
