The information came from a 4Chan post that has since been deleted, but the game’s subreddit archived the information. Most notably, the post reveals a new battle type that sees players leading an army to capture a series of checkpoints while being assaulted by waves of Chaos units that somefans may recognize fromWarhammer Vermintide 2’sChaos WastesDLC. The leak claims the new battle type is meant to work as a sort of boss encounter throughout the campaign, and says players will be able to use points earned from the capture points to purchase fortifications and new units mid-battle.
The post also goes into more granular details about the magic, units, and forces that the leaker came across while playing the mission for any fans interested more in the specific. For fans who want to see the game in action, Creative Assembly’s Gameplay Reveal teaser trailer offers a quick glimpse at some different units in action. While the teaser is short, it does provide a cool look at some of the different units and factions players canplay as inTotal War: Warhammer 3.
All in all, it’s nice thatTotal Warfans got a lot of new information on the upcoming title, even if it was a bit more than Creative Assembly was looking to share. The consensus in the comments of the Reddit post about the leaks seems to be very excited, though these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt until they are confirmed. With the greatpost-launch supportTotal War: Warhammer 2received, fans are understandably excited to see what else is in the series' future. Hopefully, Creative Assembly will have more to reveal about the game this summer at some of the many games industry conventions that are scheduled to occur.
