Tekken 8was teased at EVO 2022with a mysterious and confusing video that left fans wondering whether it was a brand-new game or a remake. The official announcement ofTekken 8finally happened at The Game Awards 2022 after some rumors about a possible appearance of the game. The trailer showed some of the gameplay and story, where a series of events results in a new fight between Jin Kazama and his father and archenemy Kazuya Mishima. Another highlight was the visuals of the characters rendered in Unreal Engine 5, which generated a lot of praise from the community.

YouTube channel YellonMotion released a video comparing Nina Williams fromTekken 8and her version fromTekken 7. Nina Williams is one of themost important characters inTekken, and the first radical difference between the two is their appearance. The fighter uses the same intro and another dialogue and almost identical animations for both. However, the video shows that her Rage Art super attacks are quite different. Although the maneuvers start very similar and are activated with the same type of attack, theTekken 8version revolves around Nina’s pistols. InTekken 7, the fighter climbs on her opponent and grabs them into submission, making the attack more physical.
Thereturn of Nina Williams inTekken 8was recently confirmed, along with information about the Closed Alpha Test. The Silent Assassin is not the only big name confirmed inTekken 8, however. In addition to Nina Williams, Jin, and Kazuya, fans can already count on the presence of Paul, Marshall Law, King, and Jack-8. Lars Alexandersson, one of the fighters introduced inTekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, will also be inTekken 8, along with another surprise. Jun Kazama, Jin’s mother, is among the playable characters confirmed for Bandai Namco’s new game.
Nina Williams' return is being widely celebrated by the community. The fighter is one ofTekken’s most beloved characters and a prominent female character in fighting games.
