YouTube channel TeaserPlay has created another video imagining a hypotheticalGrand Theft Auto: San AndreasUnreal Engine 5 remake. TeaserPlay has created a number of videos recreatingGrand Theft Autogames in Unreal Engine 5, and this latest one is all aboutSan Andreas. Specifically, it’s about a particular scene inSan Andreasthat happens near the end of the story.Note that this article will have SPOILERS forGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Near the end ofGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas' story,protagonist CJconfronts former friend Big Smoke. The confrontation ends in Big Smoke’s death, with CJ and Smoke having a final conversation before Smoke succumbs to his injuries. It’s one of the most notable scenes inSan Andreas, and so it makes sense for it to be selected as an example of what a hypotheticalSan Andreasremake could look like if recreated in Unreal Engine 5.

This is not the first time that TeaserPlay has made a video showcasing what a potentialSan AndreasUnreal Engine 5 remake could look like. Previously, it released aGTA San Andreasremake videothat was all about Big Smoke’s fast-food order. Both scenes mark two of Big Smoke’s most memorable moments inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and it will be interesting to see if future videos from the channel focus on some of the other characters in the game.

TeaserPlay has released otherGrand Theft Autovideos that are completely unrelated toSan Andreas. Some of the videos focus on recreating other games in the franchise, like the one that showed what aGrand Theft Auto 4Unreal Engine 5 remakecould look like, for instance.

Other TeaserPlayGTAvideos instead aim to show what the eventualGrand Theft Auto 6could be like, drawing on leaks about the game for inspiration. Thevideos often showGrand Theft Auto 6taking place in Vice City, which is rumored to be the primary city for the new game, though is a detail that has yet to actually be confirmed by Rockstar at the time of this writing.

While aGTA San AndreasUnreal Engine 5 remake is unlikely to ever materialize,Grand Theft Autofans do have the opportunity to play a remade version of the game if they so desire.Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasis one of the games included inGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which released last year to overwhelmingly negative reviews. Updates have worked to bringSan Andreasand the other games in the collection more in line with Rockstar’s standards, but many are still disappointed by it.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasis available now for PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and mobile devices, with a Meta Quest 2 version also in development.
