The newOutridersbroadcast came out swinging, detailing major changes coming to the game in the New Horizon update and beyond. Everything from the new transmog system and new ways to runOutriders’expeditionswas covered in detail, but one key element was only teased: a full-on expansion titled Worldslayer.
WhileOutridersis not a live-service game, that doesn’t mean it won’t continue to get support.Outriders' free New Horizon updateadds even more content to enjoy in the endgame, while Worldslayer is a brand new story expansion too. The broadcast by and large focused on the more immediate content, which makes sense given that New Horizon launches on November 16. Nonetheless, Worldslayer got a few pieces of information that fans will want to keep in mind.

Outriders: Worldslayer
First off, the intro to Worldslayer confirms it’ll release sometime in 2022, and that may meanOutriderswill have a good strong year next year. The key teaser seems to be a mysterious woman walking up to the Outrider, asking how many people they killed to reach her (or, keyword, “us.”) She does not appear to be amember of the Paxbut another human antagonist, likely one of the Altered, and she seems to be covered in some corrupting ooze (seen at 3-minute mark of the trailer below).
It’s enough to get the attention of manyOutridersfans, lapsed or otherwise, especially with all the New Horizon content as well. Worldslayer, though, is a fully-formed expansion with a brand new story for fans to enjoy, really beating on the narrative-heavy components ofOutriders.This will take place in the “furthest reaches of Enoch,” and it’ll be interesting to see how what danger this seemingly new threat poses to the characters.
Finally, although this is Worldslayer’s first tease, many are no doubt eager to learn more.OutridersCommunity Manage Robbie Palmer ended the broadcast with one of his traditional Q&As, where he said that the team wants to be sure Worldslayer is “absolutely ready to be seen when [People Can Fly] first shows it.”
He stated that fans should stay tuned to theOutriderssocial media channel for updates in the coming months, potentially suggesting more info at the end of 2021/start of 2022. Either way, it’s exciting to seePeople Can Fly and Square Enix continue supportingOutriders, with the New Horizon update and Worldslayer seeming set to take the game to the next level.
