Players who went through theDragonflightstory will remember Taivan, the loveable hound-like bakar from the Ohn’ahran Plains. Their characters get the chance to ride the good boy during several quests in theOhn’ahran Plains duringWoW: Dragonflight, but despite this, fans were disappointed to find there was previously no way to unlock the bakar as a mount in the game.

In Patch 10.2.6, players can finally add Taivan to their mount collections – but not before earning almost every achievement fromDragonflight.According to Wowhead, the new content update introduces A World Awoken, a new meta achievement that rewards Taivan to those who complete it. However, earning the accolade requires fans to earn 14 other achievements, most of which require multiple achievements of their own to unlock. All together, players will need to earn 130 individual achievements in order to complete A World Awoken and unlock Taivan.

How to Get Taivan Mount in WoW: Dragonflight

Though earning this achievement is a Herculean task, it and some of the achievements within are account wide, meaning fans can earn progress across many characters. It is also not time locked, soWorld of Warcraftplayers can take years to unlock the achievement. Additionally, many of the required achievements include rewards of their own, so players will unlock several mounts, Dragonriding mount customizations, and other cosmetics and titles on their long journey to get Taivan.

Taivan isn’t the only surprise coming for players in Patch 10.2.6.World of Warcraftis adding Plunderstorm, a new pirate-themed battle royale game mode where fans can loot power-ups and treasure and earn special cosmetic rewards. Progression of this new game mode is completely separate from the main game, so players can earn these rewards at the same pace, regardless of how far they are inWorld of Warcraftitself.
