Though many people think Ruby Life Pools is a difficult dungeon inWorld of Warcraft, a player from its community may have accidentally proposed a far more cursed alternative for its next Mythic season. For the newcomers of Azeroth who may not be familiar with Millhouse Manastorm, this dastardly disaster gnome has featured in almosteveryWorld of Warcraftexpansion packsinceThe Burning Crusade. His first appearance was as a prisoner of Arcatraz, where he played a part in getting players access to the Tempest Keep raid. Since then, he’s had a role inCataclysm,Mists of Pandaria,Warlords of Draenor,Legion, and most recently inShadowlands, where he feuded with his equally maniacal wife Millificent in the De Other Side dungeon.
It’s safe to say that Millhouse has become a household name in theWorld of Warcraftcommunity, and his appearance never fails to bring out a smile. This unscrupulous mage of dubious morals has regularly featured inHearthstoneartwork, and it’s safe to say that he may be the second-most iconic gnome character inWarcraftlore at this point.

With dungeon rotation introduced inShadowlandsSeason 4, aWorld of Warcraftplayer named MtHoodMan made a non-controversial suggestion that Season 2 ofDragonflightshould feature the other four dungeons from the Dragon Isles, before also making the very controversial suggestion that the other four be dungeons where Millhouse Manastorm made an appearance. Yes, even the Assault on the Violet Hold, and especially Arcatraz. The Stonecore is already infamous for its third boss, but a Tyrannical affixed Ozruk would make that infamy skyrocket even further.
There are few words that would describe just how thoroughly torturous the Mythic experience would get for the vast majority of players, as any genuine desire to bring these dungeons into the Mythic Keystone format borders on masochism. Three hour dungeon runs of Ruby Life Pools would be a bitter memory by comparison, a wistful memory of happier times. One can’t help but find it amusing that an innocuous character such as Millhouse Manastorm coincidentally features in some of thehardestWorld of Warcraftdungeonsin its long history.
While there’s little chance that Millhouse Manastorm will play a factor in Blizzard’s decision on which returning dungeons will make up the Season 2 roster, it does open an interesting argument for many old instances to feature in the Mythic Keystone format. Namely, more sensible options such as Hour of Twilight, Magister’s Terrace, Zul’Aman, or even Shadowfang Keep. Given that Blizzard Entertainment has at least three seasons planned forDragonflight, as revealed in theroadmap forWorld of Warcraft, it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility to see at least one completely reworked legacy dungeon by the end of 2023.
