Aalto is a 4-star Aero Pistol unit who functions as both a sub-DPS and support character inWuthering Waves. While his personal damage output pails in comparison to other units, it’s hard to deny just how useful he can be in many situations.

While Aalto might not reach the top when it comes toWuthering Wavescharacter tier lists, he offers a fun playstyle that can deal damage and amplify the DPS of units who are much stronger than him. Here are the best team compositions for Aalto so far.

Aalto + Jiyan + Verina

Aalto’s Outro Skill provides an Aero Damage Amplify buff to his teammates, giving them a separate damage multiplier that can greatly increase their DPS.Jiyan is an incredible Aero damage dealer inWuthering Waves, and grouping him up with Aalto and Verina will make him even more of a monster. This is by far Aalto’s best team simply because the main DPS is an Aero unit.

For this team, you’ll want to start with Verina. Build up her Concerto Gauge until she can trigger her Outro Skill (All-Type DMG Amplify for 30s), then switch to Aalto. Build up Aalto’s Concerto, then swap to Jiyan. At this point, Jiyan should have massively increased damage output courtesy of the multipliers provided by his two support characters.

The main downside here is that players won’t be able to make use of Aalto’s Gate of Quandry (the mist wall that appears after he uses his ultimate) since no one in the team except Aalto fires projectiles.

Aalto + Chixia + Jianxin

This team composition plays around the main downside of the previous one by replacing Jiyan with Chixia. Place Chixia behind Aalto’s Gate of Quandry, and all her ranged attacks will enjoy a decent damage boost. Also, Aalto’s clones can draw aggro away from enemies, preventing them from canceling Chixia’s Resonance Skill as she channels it.

Jianxin serves as a secondary sub-DPS and crowd-control unit who can take advantage of Aalto’s Outro Skill. We highly recommend using damage-focused weapons and Echoesfor their Jianxin buildwhen using this team. This does mean that the team won’t have a strong healer, but it should be fine since there’s safety in ranged attacks, Aalto’s decoys, and Jianxin’s parry ability.

Admittedly, this team is far from ideal when it comes to challenging the Tower of Adversity. It can still clear floors, and it can most definitely take on higher-level Tactical Hologram bosses (especially with a well-built Chixia), but other teams with stronger synergies between characters will outperform it. Despite that, it’s a fun to team to play around with while exploring the map.
