A resourcefulTheLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomfan has managed to create an air bike that players can use to fly around Hyrule. Unlike most flying contraptions that fans have built so far inTears of the Kingdom, this air bike only requires three Zonai devices to complete.
Legend of Zeldafans first got their taste of flying around with Link inSkyward Swordwhile on the back of a loftwing, the adorable flying creatures featured in the game. InThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are no loftwings, so fans have learned to improvise when they want to catch air bybuilding flying machines out of the Zonai devicesavailable around the world. Some of these flying contraptions can take ten or so Zonai devices to make, but the air bike featured below only takes three of the most common Zoni devices in the game.

YouTuber 2uncle2dane’s newest video has detailed a quick tutorial on how to create this air bike using a steering stick and two fans. The YouTuber points out the difference between using his air bike creation versus the typical glider design that most players are building. The video shows that his air bike design is better at maneuverability as the vehicle requires only a few nudges in the air in order to turn, unlike the basic glider build that’s too big to turn comfortably. The design only costsnine Zonaite pieces to build itfrom scratch, but it’s usually better to use one’s own Zonai devices and save the cost. In the video, 2uncle2dane goes over why his design is better at moving Koroks around the map and why this bike is the best vehicle for traversing the depths underneath Hyrule.
Looking at the bike itself, it may look like throwing this design together would take seconds, but as shown in the video, it can certainly take some trial and error. The video showcases how difficult it can be to use theUltrahand ability inTears of the Kingdomwhen trying to attach such small pieces together. The trick is to lay the first fan on a very flat surface, tilt and line up the steering stick so it angles up a small amount, then attach the second fan as straight as you can on the steering stick, ensuring it lines up with the first fan.
The good news is, once the air bike is built for the first time, players who have unlocked the Autobuild ability can save the design to their favorites and quickly whip the construction together in seconds with the correct parts. Perhaps the most useful case for using this design is how it makesgetting through the depths inTears of the Kingdomeasier. All the player needs to do is throw a giant brightbloom seed on the front of the air bike to use as a spotlight, and this vehicle becomes the perfect way to travel around the darkest areas of the underground.
