The official social media accounts of the upcomingZom 100: Bucket List of the Deadanime adaptation announced that the series is set fora July 9 premiere. A brief teaser announcing the broadcast date and weekly schedule of the upcoming series was also released, revealing the artists who will be contributing to the series' opening and ending themes.
TheZom 100: Bucket List of the Deadanime series was announced in January 2023 as part of a deal between the publisher of the original manga, Shogakukan, its affiliated Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions and VIZ Media.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Deadis a dystopian manga series written byHaro Aso (Alice in Borderland)and illustrated by Kotaro Takata, published in Shogakukan’s seinen magazine, Monthly Sunday Gene-X from October 2018. The series has been collected into 13 volumes as of February 2023. VIZ released the series in English in July 2020.
It follows the protagonist Akira, who spent many years of his life working in a soul-crushing company, in his quest to complete a list of things he wants to do with his life in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. Now that life as he once knew it is over, Akira feels like he has a new lease on life as he attempts to complete all 100 items on his bucket list before the inevitable happens.
The upcoming anime is to be directed by Kazuki Kawagoe (director,Komi Can’t Communicate) at BUG FILMS, assisted by Hanako Ueda (episode director,Summer Time Rendering) with character designs by Kii Tanaka, who also provided character designs forSo I’m a Spider, So What?.The opening theme for the upcomingZom 100: Bucket List of the Deadanime is “Song of the Dead”, performed by KANA-BOON, while the ending theme is “Happiness of the Dead” by Shiyui.
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Deadmangaka Kotaro Takata is expected to join the upcoming Anime Expo 2023 as a guest of honour, as well as to participate in the panel for theZom 100: Bucket List of the Deadanime world premiere, which will be screened at the event on July 1. The upcoming anime adaptation of the series is slated for broadcast on July 9 on Hulu in the US, while the Netflix release is to be confirmed. With its July broadcast, the series forms part of the highly-anticipated Summer 2023 anime season, which includesthe second cour ofBLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War; the (possible) conclusion ofAttack on Titan; the second season ofJUJUTSU KAISEN; and many more.
